1. Get your board’s OBS link
Open a starter board or one of your own and press Copy OBS link. Only public boards have one: OBS is not signed in to your account, so it can’t open a private board.
2. Add it as a browser source
- In OBS, under Sources, press + and choose Browser.
- Paste the OBS link into URL. Set width 800 and height 600, or whatever fits your layout.
- Tick Control audio via OBS. The board then gets its own slider in the Audio Mixer, so you can balance it against your mic and game.
The background is transparent: only the name of the sound playing shows on stream.
3. Play it
Right-click the source and choose Interact. In that window, press a sound’s key or click it. Sounds overlap, and each one plays at the volume and loop setting you gave it on the board.
Playing while you game
Hotkeys only work while the soundboard has focus. A web page can’t listen to keys pressed in another app, so keys pressed in your game won’t reach it. Two setups that work:
- Keep the Interact window on a second monitor and click the sounds you want.
- Open the board’s Play page in your browser on a second monitor or a tablet, and capture the browser’s audio in OBS: Application Audio Capture on Windows, or a macOS Screen Capture source with audio.
Streamlabs Desktop
The steps are the same. Add a source, choose Browser Source, paste the OBS link, and interact with it the same way.
Troubleshooting
No sound on stream
Check that Control audio via OBS is ticked and that the source’s slider in the Audio Mixer isn’t muted.
Keys do nothing
Click inside the Interact window first; key presses only reach the board while it has focus.
Too loud or too quiet
Use the source’s slider in the Audio Mixer. To change a single sound, open the board and use the gear on that sound.
I changed my board, but OBS shows the old one
Right-click the source, open Properties and press Refresh cache of current page.
